Located in the scenic foothills of the Appalachian mountains in Western North Carolina, our school serves students in grades Kindergarten – 5^th Grade. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive learning environment which allowes students to achieve academic and life skills. We are one of NC's original 25 Schools Selected to Receive a Grant from the Keanan Institute to Integrate Arts Instruction with the curriculum. Based on Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences, our A+ program of Arts Integration will continue to include these components in 2024-2025 school year:

• Suzuki Violin Instruction in Kindergarten & 1st Grade
• Midi Piano Instruction in 2nd & 3rd Grade
• Recorder Instruction in 4th Grade
• Ukelele Instruciton in 5th Grade
• Steel Pan & Djembe Drum Instruction in Kindergarten – 5^th Grade
• Smart Block in 5^th Grade Resulting in a Play Production
• Percussion Instruction in Kindergarten – 5^th Grade
• After School Percussion Club for 3^rd - 5^th Graders
• After School Chorus for 4^th & 5^th Graders
• After School Suzuki Violin Instruction for Kindergarten – 5^th Grade
• After School STEM Club for 4^th & 5^th Graders
• After School Student News Production Crew (WDAV) for 5^th Graders
• Arts Integrated Assignments in Core Classes with Multiple Pathways to Both Practice and Demonstrate Mastery
